Fruit trifle recipe

 


Using fresh, tinned, or frozen fruits, this fruit trifle dish comes together extremely quickly. under 15 minutes to prepare. Perfect for a party or dessert!


Ingredients;

1 box of marble or golden cake, or a loaf cake from the shop


1 package of instant banana, chocolate or vanilla custard mix


Milk (2 cups/470 ml) for the custard mix


500 cc or two cups of whipped cream or nutriwhip


1-2 teaspoons of maple, vanilla, or rum flavouring

If using whipped cream, add sugar to taste.


 Since Nutriwhip is already sweetened, additional sugar is not necessary.


Fruit/berries may be canned, frozen, or fresh.


Instructions;



1. Prepare cake mix as directed, then let it cool fully or use cake from the store that hasn't been frosted.

2. Create stiff peaks by beating whipping cream with flavouring and sugar.

3. Prepare the custard as directed on the packaging.

4. Cut the cake into cubes, and then divide them in half to fill individual serving bowls or the bottom of a big serving bowl.

5. Add whipped cream and berries on top of the cooked custard. Layer again, and if desired, chill in the fridge!
