Cheese Sticks Recipe

 


Ingredients;


Part-skim mozzarella cheese in a 16-ounce block.


A third cup of all-purpose flour


Garlic salt, 1 teaspoon


3 large eggs


1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs


baking spray or two cups of oil for frying


Instructions;


Flour and garlic salt should be combined in the first bowl. Eggs should be fully forked in the second basin. Add bread crumbs to bowl three.


Cut a brick of mozzarella into 20–24 cheese sticks that are 3 inches long and slightly under 1/2" thick.

Cheese sticks should be coated in egg after being dredged in flour, tapping off any excess. Let any extra drip back into the bowl before re-dipping in flour and then egg.

The cheese stick should be thoroughly covered in bread crumbs before being moved to a dish, covered, and frozen for 45 minutes.

Oil should be heated to 350°F on a thermometer over medium heat.A pinch of crumbs should sizzle and bubble if you drop them into the oil.

Cheese sticks should be added to the hot oil in small batches (4 at a time), fried for 60 to 90 seconds, turned halfway through, and taken out as soon as the outsides are crisp and golden brown and there are any indications of cheese leaking out. Be sure to In between batches, the oil is heated to 350°F. Transfer the fried cheese sticks to a plate covered with paper towels to absorb any extra oil.
